The whole collection is SOT-89, which makes it straightforward to swap between series on an existing footprint while the surrounding matching network stays unchanged.

Where they are used

SOT-89 gain blocks of this type sit in the transmit and receive chains of wireless equipment — repeaters, small-cell hardware, instrumentation receivers and lab test fixtures — usually as the stage that has to deliver linear gain without a large board footprint.
