FAIRCHILD
Fairchild semiconductors in stock at YILUDA TECH. Twenty-one Fairchild lines are held as 100% original, new and unused material. Fairchild became part of onsemi in 2016, so the same devices now ship under either logo while the ordering codes mostly carry over.
What is on the shelf
- Power MOSFETs — FCA47N60 SuperFET in TO3P, FDB8030L in D2PAK, FQD19N10L in DPAK, FDZ8040L, FDV304P-NL and the familiar BSS138 in SOT23.
- Diodes and rectifiers — FFH50US60S and RURG3060, both 600 V ultrafast parts in TO247.
- Regulators and load switches — KA7805ERTM 5 V linear regulator, FPF1048BUCX load switch in WLCSP.
- Logic and protection — 74F04SCX hex inverter, NC7S204M5X single gate, SMBJ6V0A TVS, PG4AB.
Reading a Fairchild MOSFET code
The three letters after the F tell you the package before you read anything else: FQP is TO220, FQD is TO252 (DPAK), FDB is TO263 (D2PAK), FCA is TO3P. The trailing L is the one that catches designers out — FQD19N10L is the logic-level version of the same die, specified for 5 V gate drive, while the non-L part wants 10 V. Fitting the non-L part on a 5 V gate driver gives a device that is barely switched on, heats up, and gets blamed on the batch. If the board drives the gate from a logic pin, the L suffix is not optional.
Ultrafast rectifiers
FFH50US60S and RURG3060 are 600 V ultrafast diodes intended for the freewheeling path in switching supplies and inverters. Their relevant numbers are forward current, forward voltage and reverse recovery time, and a slower standard-recovery part substituted into the same socket will run hotter and generate more EMI even though it passes a static test.
Ordering notes
- Quote the full code including package letter and any L or N suffix.
- onsemi-branded equivalents exist for most of these devices — cross-reference by die, not by prefix.
- Worldwide shipping from Shenzhen by DHL, FedEx or UPS.
