Series in stock
- FA and FB series — FA12-1-60-G1, FB11-1-28-G1, FB13-1-30-G1 and related, the flat-cable connectors that carry a ribbon between boards.
- FD series — FD13-1-48-G1, FD23-1-44-G1 and the rest of the FD range across contact counts.
The middle number in each code is the contact count, and the trailing G1 denotes the plating and packaging variant — 16, 18, 22, 28, 30, 32, 40, 44, 48 and 60 way versions are all represented.
Where these connectors are used
FPC and FFC connectors are the standard answer for linking a main board to a display, keypad or sensor board where a soldered harness would be impractical. The failure mode is almost always mechanical rather than electrical — a latch that has been opened too many times stops holding the cable flat.
Ordering notes
- Contact count and pitch both matter; the same way-count exists at different pitches, so quote the full code.
- If you are replacing a connector on an existing board, send a photo of the footprint — the latching mechanism differs between series that otherwise look alike.

Substitution pitfalls
Two FPC connectors with the same contact count can differ in pitch, in whether the contacts face up or down, and in the latching mechanism. Fitting the wrong one usually damages the cable rather than the connector, and the fault appears later as an intermittent display. Before ordering a replacement, confirm pitch and contact orientation from the board, not from the old part's marking.
